President Obama
On that historic occasion
With your inaugural speech
You gave hope to a nation

Not just to a nation
But to all of mankind
To a world that’s in turmoil
That can be cruel and unkind

So we look to the future
With hope in our heart
That all the world’s nations
Will make a fresh start

Put an end to the suffering
That some people face
Hold a hand out in friendship
Despite religion and race

So one thing I ask
Please continue to persist
With the changes you make
Even if others resist

For a change is what’s needed
A brand new global plan
And for all those non- believers
You have just proved that we can
