Every Penny Helps

Thursday

The First Twelve

Today i,ve just turned one year old
And what a time i,ve had
I have given my parents lots of joy
And sometimes drove them mad

For when my parents brought me home
I really would not settle
I,d wake them up at three am
and really test their mettle

I ate i pooed and slept all day
My mother pampered me
And father would sing little songs
When i was sat upon his knee

But those months have come and gone
and now i,m a little older
Mummy,s little snuggle bug
And daddy,s little soldier

So once again i,ll leave you here
But be sure to come back again
And i,ll tell you whats been happening
Between the age of five and ten
