Debt Poem

Debt and Its Effects
Debt can be a heavy burden to bear, and everyone at some point in their lives will be touched by debt. This poem is my way of showing how easily we can get into debt and what we should do when we are free of debt
Credit cards and shopping sprees
How we loved to spend
Household goods and furniture
The very latest trend
And when we got the items home
We’d sit back and enjoy
Acting like a couple of kids
Who’ve been given a brand new toy
After days and weeks had passed
Our hearts they had sank
As that’s when the letters arrived
From credit companies and the bank
We couldn’t make the monthly payments
And things were looking bad
If we didn’t sort our finances
They’d take everything we had
Things are so much better now
We’re finally out of the red
And though there’s no more shopping sprees
We can finally look ahead
So if your sitting wondering
If there’s a moral to this tale
Don’t buy it with a credit card
Just wait for the January sale

Nice blog. Poetic.
Hey nice blog. Ur poems are all great. I enjoyed reading them. This one is especially topical. Keep sharing.
really nice post.. i would like to read more.
I don't wann have a credit card. It just make me fall in debt
A cautionary tale given the recent economic events. Topicality aside...I like the poems too.
I loved this poem! It is a mantra I need to repeat over to myself...I have a bit of a shopping addiction..."wait for january sales!" Thanks so much for putting this out there, James!
Nice poems you have...it's rare for someone to create a poem for Debt!!!
Would love for you to contribute one or two to my blog!
